The month of October 2008 sees Sikhs and Non-Sikhs all across the world commemorating the 300 years of Sri Guru Granth sahib Ji (eternal Guru of the Khalsa Panth).

To celebrate 300 years Gurta Gaddi Diwas of G URU GRANTH SAHIB JI, Money Spinner have produced a track which is available for free download. The track, entitled GURU GRANTH SAHIB JI, praises all of the Sikh Gurus and talks about how we should bow down only to our living guru (Sri GURU GRANTH SAHIB JI). The music has been produced with a mellow beat to accompany the soothing and blissful vocals of Poora Singh.

The Sikh Scripture, Guru Granth Sahib, renders a wonderful combination of civilization and multicultural dimensions to society. The Sikh Gurus lived in and interacted with a multicultural and multi-religious world and they recognized and gave great importance to this fact.

Consequently, Guru Granth Sahib too registers this fact. The teachings and thoughts of a variety of saints of different religions, regions and languages are included in the Guru Granth Sahib. Guru Granth Sahib is a great work of dialogue from a variety of voices, reconciled and synthesized in a specific way to create a united message for humanity.

Sikhs do not worship the Gurus who composed the writings in Guru Granth Sahib Ji, nor do they need to idolize the holy scriptures, though they revere it. The Word is God. But the only way it actually becomes so is when the Sikh reads it and heeds what he reads.
